The 4th annual art competition to mark Catholic Schools Week, continues the strong partnership between Pius X and our local parish. The competition was first proposed by parishioner and ex-student Lachlan Byrnes, in 2016.
The theme this year is: 'Learn. Serve. Belong'. Responses will be based on a verse or passage of Christian Scripture. The artwork is also the Year 8 Term 1 Religious Studies Assessment Task.
Shortlisted works are to be displayed at St Philips Church at the end of Catholic Schools Week.
Judges agreed that the quality of this year’s entries has surpassed all expectations.
Eckersley’s gift vouchers will be awarded at this week’s vigil Mass, to the winning work and the five highly commended entries.
Simone Kelly and Adam Frost
Religious Studies Coordinator and Ministry Coordinator.
Winning Entry by Tessa Mills - All Saints Parish Art Competition.
